Taft High School’s plaque is back

A memorial plaque that was stolen from a Taft High School bleacher stadium was replaced Monday, Aug. 19. In an effort to restore the names, a booster club member worked with police to reassemble fragments of the granite slab. LINCOLN CITY – A cherished memorial plaque that was stolen from the Voris Field bleacher stadium at Taft High School has been replaced after detective work and blind luck restored the list of names destroyed in a torrent of rage and gunfire.
