Safety project on Highway 20 has 24-hour flagging this week

State police responded to a four-vehicle accident on Highway 20 east of Eddyville on Wednesday, Aug. 21. The accident occurred near the eastern end of the Highway 20 bypass project. No serious injuries were reported. The Oregon Department of Transportation is urging motorists to use caution in the area and expect delays as work on realigning an intersection continues this week. A project to construct safety improvements along a nine-mile stretch of Highway 20 is requiring 24-hour flagging at one location near Eddyville this week. In addition, single-lane restrictions are occurring at several locations along the project length in Lincoln County.
