Posted: Thursday, Jul 4th, 2013

Leslie F. “Les” Lecasse, who said he has been an aviator for 50 years, surrendered his invalid commercial pilot’s license to the Federal Aviation Administration Monday after a surprise inspection at Newport Airport by a trio of government investigators who probed his flight activities. Asked how much flight time he has, Lecasse answered,” I’ll tell you what I told the FAA: ‘The Fifth Amendment.’” (Photo by Rick Beasley)
