School board keeps distance from stolen plaque incident at Lincoln City school

A plaque honoring volunteers who helped build the new synthetic turf field at Taft High School in 2009 was discovered at a Rose Lodge quarry, shattered by gunfire. LINCOLN CITY Three months after it was discovered missing from a bleacher stadium at Taft High School and later found bullet-riddled and broken, a memorial plaque that celebrated civic involvement has once again galvanized the community.
