Japanese tsunami dock is on display at Newport Bayfront

A local nonprofit organization placed this section of the Japanese dock that washed ashore at Agate Beach last summer in front of the Undersea Gardens last week. NEWPORT – After a 5,000-mile journey across the Pacific Ocean following the March 11, 2011 Japanese tsunami, a chunk of a massive concrete dock has found its final resting place on the Newport Bayfront.
