Learning to embrace the moment

Posted: Tuesday, Jun 4th, 2013

Cory Bullock, riding in an adult-size “jogger stroller,” leaves the start of the Newport Marathon just before 7 a.m. Saturday. Bullock, who has been diagnosed with ALS (commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease), took part in the marathon with the help of a few volunteer runners pushing him the length of the 26.2-mile course. Taking on the first leg of the relay is Todd Thompson, a local Oregon State Police officer. Running next to Bullock is his wife, Andrea. (Photo by Steve Card)
