Lela “Eileen” LeBlanc

Lela “Eileen” LeBlanc died peacefully Saturday May 11, 2013 at her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

She was born February 22, 1936 in Pine River, MN to Jim & Bessy Flynn. Eileen was 7 of 8 children. The family moved from Minnesota in 1947 where they made their home in Scappoose, OR.

She moved to the coast in 1957 making her home first in Depoe Bay and then later in Lincoln City. She married Jack LeBlanc in 1967.

Eileen loved living at the beach. Before she was diagnosed with lung cancer in 1999, she walked miles and miles almost every day with a group of friends. She loved working in the yard and her flowers would attract passersby every year.

Being a grandmother was her greatest pleasure. She took care of her two latest grandchildren, Lexi & JJ French, as babies and would rock them for hours.

Eileen is survived by her daughter Becky Magnuson, son Jeff Magnuson, daughter Tina French (Lon French) and step daughter Kim Nisbet (Dennis). Grandchildren, Dillon Koester, Nick Nisbet, Andrea Nisbet, Lexi French, & Jensen French.

Her husband Jack LeBlanc preceded her in death in 2011.

A memorial service luncheon will be held at Faith Baptist Church Friday June 21, 2013 at noon.
