This coming Memorial Day weekend, May 24-27, The Hauser Gallery will host a celebration of African art and culture including food, music and dance. Traders from West Africa will be displaying a wide variety of authentic African artifacts.
Hailing from Mali, Senegal, Cameroon and the Congo, the traders will offer the public a chance to buy directly from the source at prices otherwise not available. Items will include trade beads, fabrics, masks, statuaries and various items including king’s benches and exotic drums. The traders have been friends and business colleagues of the Hauser Gallery for several decades. For the complete article see the 05-17-2013 issue.
