Celebrating quilts, trains and the renaissance

The City of Toledo was a busy place last weekend as three separate, unique events were held in close proximity to each other, offering a look into the world of quilting, trains and the renaissance.

Colorful quilts lined Main Street as part of Quilt Quest, the annual celebration of all things quilting. The event included special exhibits, vendors, quilt documentation and more.

Just a short distance away, the Yaquina Pacific Railroad Historical Society celebrated National Train Day on Saturday. People had an opportunity to tour the historic rail cars, listen to train music performed by the Rusty Rovers and enjoy food served from the Loose Caboose Café.
