Plum Creek donates $5,000 for Habitat for Humanity home build

Posted: Wednesday, May 15th, 2013

A $5,000 donation from Plum Creek Foundation will help Habitat for Humanity of Lincoln County provide a home for a family in Siletz.

The donation will be used for construction of a three-bedroom, 1,100-square-foot house, the 14th Habitat home built in Lincoln County since 1995. All Habitat homes are built with donated labor and materials and sold to qualified low-income families through a 30-year loan at zero percent interest. Potential homeowners are required to take budgeting and home maintenance classes, in addition to working with Habitat.
