Thief keeps gems but returns son’s remains

DEPOE BAY – Callous thieves who broke into John Woodmark’s Ford Excursion truck last month while he was playing 18 holes at a swank golf course near Tacoma stole 3,000 rare gemstones, expensive jewelry and the luggage that held his late son’s ashes.
