Underwater robots guide kids into science

LINCOLN CITY Zach Lutz faced a panel of squint-eyed judges Saturday and reeled off the dramatic missions his submersible robot is capable of performing, including retrieving scientific instruments, manipulating power switches and attaching cables to underwater laboratories.
