Knott making Lady Cub track even more dangerous

Prom weekend cut down Newport's track and field roster to the skin-and-bones at the Wilsonville Invitational on Saturday as head coach Kurt Hargett gave his team the option of competing for a short time in the Portland suburb or stay in town and enjoy the prom festivities.

Many of the top contenders took the weekend off to revamp for the final month of the season, and deservedly so. But a few of the big names, like Cara Knott and Morgan Annabelle, made the trip in anticipation off pressing on in their respective excellent seasons.
