On April 24 at 5:30 p.m., Don Yarbrough, MD, from Samaritan Bariatric Surgery Program, will talk about the connection between sleep apnea and weight at the Newport Recreation Center. He will explore the options available to people who are looking for ways to get their weight and sleep back on track.
According to a press release from the Samaritan Pacific Sleep Lab, about 18 million Americans have sleep apnea, and being overweight is a major contributing factor.
