Students in the Oregon Coast Community College Aquarium Science Program held a show-and-tell Friday morning at the OCCC Central County Campus. Angie Johnson, aquarium science program instructor said, “The students have researched many hours and worked very hard on these projects all term,“ adding that the projects “better prepare the student for the workforce and make them better aquarists.”

These 3-D models were each created by teams of four or five students, that are essentially miniature representations of what a room at an aquarium or similar facility would look like. They contain tanks, informational signs – everything a visitor would see when walking into the room. Pictured with the 3-D models are the project leaders for each group, which include Lyssa Pustis, left, Amy Debrick, Emily Hollern and Kristen Simmons.
