The public is invited to a presentation by Oregon Coast Community College Aquarium Science students today (Friday), from 11 a.m. to noon at the OCCC Central County Campus in South Beach.
The show is a species poster and 3-D model exhibit that students completed as part of their course work. The poster presentations are of the biology and necessary life support requirements for species never kept in captivity or never kept longer than a few days, such as giant squid, deep sea clams, and albatross, to give a few examples.
The posters and 3-D models will be set up so that the public can walk through and view the projects at their own pace during the one-hour viewing period. Aquarium science students will be available to explain their projects to attendees. For the complete article see the 03-22-2013 issue.
