City of Depoe Bay ponders granting fiber optic franchise

DEPOE BAY – A wholesale telecom company that is ready to break ground in Depoe Bay with a new fiber optic project was idled Tuesday after the city council delayed a decision on whether or not to give Newport-based CoastCom a franchise to operate inside the city limits.
