Coastal Range Food Bank and Trading Post looks to sustainable business model

The Coastal Range Food Bank and Trading Post, located in the former Nashville Store, provides rural community members with food assistance, low cost merchandise and serves as the local gathering and news spot.

About 170 families living in the Nashville and Blodgett areas and the outskirts of Toledo and Siletz, supplement their food budgets with the help of the food bank.

Carol Adams was newly retired from the aerospace industry and looking for a way to reach out and help her community, when she started the Coastal Range Food Bank (CRFB) in the early 90s. In 1998, the food bank became a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
