Siletz Valley Schools held a Family Literacy Night on Thursday, Feb. 28, as part of a weeklong event designed by the second and fourth grade classes through the SEAL Program Grant.

Students helped design the literacy night using iPad minis, which were provided to both teachers through the grant. Students were responsible for event activities, designing the flyers and invitations for Dr. Seuss week, creating lists of needed equipment and supplies, and assigning roles for adults to play throughout the night. Students used the iPads to research and plan the entire week's activities.
