This time there was no beating around the bush, stalling gimmicks, intractability.

The Newport boys’ basketball team overpowered Taft, 53-33, on Friday by whipping the Tigers on both ends with unforeseen haste and sudden offensive implementation that was unheeded when the teams matched up in a forgettable snoozefest one month ago.
