The Wellness Series at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital kicks off next week with free monthly educational presentations aimed at community members with an interest in health and learning.

The series, now in its third year, will focus on integrative and complementary medicine, such as yoga, aromatherapy and expressive art as an approach to getting and staying healthy.

Classes will meet once a month on Thursdays (except Nov. 4) at 5:30 p.m. in the Education Conference Room at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, 930 SW Abbey St. in Newport. The free classes will last about an hour to an hour and a half and are open to anybody in the community with a desire to learn. Registration is not required, and drop-ins are welcome. A question-and-answer period will follow each presentation. The Wellness Series will continue through the end of the year.
