Schones' buzzer-beater helps Newport upset Philomath

Megan Schones didn't have time to think. Heck, she didn't have time to blink or breathe when Kacie Hargett hit her with a chest-high inbounds pass from the right sideline.

With just 0.6 left on the clock and her Newport girls basketball team trailing Philomath 45-44 in the fourth quarter on Tuesday, the junior small forward only had a sliver of a second to catch, turn and fire, all in one motion.
