‘Deadliest Catch’ star charts life through celebrity

NEWPORT — Russell Newberry, a lifelong Alaska fisherman whose outrageous pranks and raw courage in a pinch helped propel “The Deadliest Catch” to the pinnacle of cable TV ratings, was on deck Monday near Newport’s Port Dock One to pitch the town’s newest crab business.
