Learn the basics of government contracting

On March 1, Carroll Bernard, Government Contract Assistance Program procurement counselor, will lead a class from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., ‘The Basics of Government Contracting,’ at the Tillamook Community College central campus.

This class will cover federal market overview and federal spending facts; how the federal government supports small business through government contract opportunities; where does your company fit in; what is required to do business with the federal government; how to determine eligibility for a small business certification; preparing a business for the federal market; and how to find additional resources to help one succeed.

Cost for the training is $10. Pre-register no later than Monday, Feb. 25 by either calling 503-842-8222 ext. 1420 or emailing lyman@tillamookbay.cc. This class will be canceled if there are not at least five people pre-registered by Feb. 25.
