PDE’s ‘Dances from the Heart’ – a celebration of life

Pacific Dance Ensemble (PDE) celebrates both its 25th year in existence and 15th annual free performance and benefit auction, “Dances from the Heart,” this weekend only at the Newport Performing Arts Center, 777 W. Olive St.

PDE offers a variety of original choreography in a celebration of life, featuring works by PDE alumni Cecily Wechter, director Nancy Mittleman and PDE members, with lighting by Ernest Brown.

“Dances from the Heart” will be presented today (Friday) and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. This Valentine’s celebration also offers a silent auction featuring items donated by many local and regional artists including Rick Bartow, Bill Merkens, Ed Cameron, Amy Pattison, Tash Wesp, Katy Lareau, Jon Paden and more.
