The Siletz Valley Friends of the Library will celebrate the 59th birthday of the Siletz Public Library. A birthday party is set for this Saturday, including a “Fabulous February” Book and Baked Goods Sale. The party and sale will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the library, located at 255 SW Gaither St. Cake, coffee and punch will be served.
February is Love Your Library Month in Siletz. Visitors are invited to give the library a birthday gift. Inside the library, there is a paper mache birthday cake with “wish” candles. Wishes include items such as copy paper, cleaning products, and other essential supplies for the operation of the library. Anyone who wants to give the library a birthday present may stop by and choose a “wish.”
