Be Jeweled, the annual recycled jewelry extravaganza sale that benefits Food Share of Lincoln County, takes place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Shilo Inn Suites at 536 SW Elizabeth St. in Newport. This year marks the sixth anniversary for this event, which does much to help alleviate hunger throughout Lincoln County.

Currently, Food Share and its partner agencies distribute an estimated 65,000 pounds of food each month in response to the needs in the community. Local statistics show that an average of 1,200 households per month access emergency food in Lincoln County.
