For Antiques Week and the entire month of February the North Lincoln County Historical Museum will exhibit a collection of historical quilts of Lincoln County.
The best of the museum’s collections, as well as historic quilts from the collections of the Lincoln County Historical Society, will be on display. Quilts include the Lincoln County Centennial Quilt, quilted by Bayshore Quilters and Oregon Coastal Quilters; a quilt dating from the late 1800s donated by the family of Homer Dixon, who owned the Dixon Hotel in Elk City; and north Lincoln County “club” quilts from the 1930s. A special quilt from Ruth Rummel will also be displayed, made in Portland entirely of Jantzen fabric scraps.
