Coastal Families Together will hold a free parenting workshop from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, starting Feb. 5 and running for 10 sessions. It will be held at Toledo Elementary, 600 SE Sturdevant Road. There will be a free nutritional family style meal and child care available.
Instructors Lisa Downing and Kathy Cleaver will teach the Nurturing Parenting class for parents of children 0 to 11 years old. Attendees will learn the art, science, strategies and techniques that promote self worth, cooperation, compassion in children and form the basis of day to day family interactions.
