Construction begins

Crews pour cement Thursday afternoon at the site of the new Walgreens being built at the corner of Highway 101 and Highway 20 in Newport. Developer Bret Fox, of Thomas Fox Properties in Salt Lake City, said he expects to finish construction and turn over the building to Walgreens in early June. The finished building will have an art deco façade.
