Dinner dance and auction benefits Children’s Advocacy Center

The major fundraising event for the Children's Advocacy Center, "Celebrate the Children," will be 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. this Saturday at the Best Western Plus Agate Beach in Newport.

This year's event once again encourages attendees to wear their favorite "going out" attire, not formal ball attire, as in the past. People will not find "black tie optional" on this year's invitations, but rather a more relaxed environment where attendees are encouraged to bring their sweetheart and dance the night away. The format for the evening remains the same – dinner buffet, dessert table, live and silent auction, and music.
