Navigating the minefield of childrenís TV
Having spent pretty much the first half of January with organs feeling like a fully active Jiffy Pop, Iíve had plenty of opportunities to catch up on childrenís TV. Whether using it as an electronic babysitter or just too lazy to go find the remote, Iíve discovered much has changed since my childhood trifecta of Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers and Electric Company.
Mainly that itís horrible.
Mind you, childrenís TV has always been a bit of a media minefield. For every Sesame Street, thereís always been three pieces of Care Bear junk whose only purpose is to sell toys.
