Ready to blare 46 pre-recorded messages, including tsunami warnings, patriotic music and the Manchester Chimes, one of five sirens installed last week in Depoe Bay awaits final testing in mid-February. The original 70-foot poles were all topped-off 55 feet above ground level for installation of the eight-foot, 1,000-pound speaker stacks. “The company will be coming in to train us on which buttons to push, and we’ll be doing a test about the same time,” said City Recorder Pery Murray. “We’ll let people know that when they hear a really loud wail, it’s just us.”
