Police search for sex offender results in arrest of six people

On Thursday, Jan. 24, Newport police officers received a request for assistance from Lincoln County Parole and Probation to help locate a convicted sex offender.

Jose Frede Rodriguez-Aguilar, 24, of Newport had absconded from supervision, and he was wanted on a felony parole violation warrant.
