For ArtSake Gallery, located in the heart of Newport’s Nye Beach area at Third and Coast streets, is finished repainting the walls to display art against new background colors. The door is open for 2013.

Co-op members have welcomed Jacob Accurso as a new member. He has thrown pots for more than 30 years on the Oregon coast. He is a professional potter showing at juried fairs and is an artist in education. His serving bowls, platters, place settings, canisters, spoon jars and other functional pieces can be admired and then used every day. Accurso prefers to use glazes of saturated colors. He teaches at Toledo Clayworks and is a vendor at Newport’s Saturday Farmers’ Market. Now Accurso’s work will be available every day at For ArtSake.
