Yaquina Bay Flotilla 54 of the Coast Guard Auxiliary will offer a “Boat Oregon” class from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Port of Newport Marina & RV Park Office building. This facility is located at 2301 SE Marine Science Center Dr. in Newport.
The curriculum for “Boat Oregon - A Course in Responsible Boating” is sponsored by the Oregon State Marine Board. This class is fun and interactive. Students will learn boating safety skills, equipment requirements, relevant laws/regulations, and become familiar with regulatory markers and navigation rules of the road.
