On Wednesday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m. at St. Stephen Episcopal Church at SW 9th and Hurbert in Newport, an ecumenical Community Taizé Vespers Service will provide a quiet, setting for reflection on the spirit of Christian unity. This service will include candlelight, singing of simple Taizé prayer-chants, scripture and poetry readings to support the ecumenical movement toward Christian unity coordinated by the World Council of Churches.
