Senate reformer Merkley pays visit to Newport

NEWPORT — Nearly 100 Lincoln County residents turned out Saturday, Jan. 12, for a town hall meeting at Oregon Coast Community College in South Beach with U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley, who described his efforts to reform a hidebound Congress that is mired in partisan bickering.
