Medical care in Suburbia, USA

As a veteran world traveler, I have found that if you truly want to get the feel for a culture, you should simply visit one of their local hospitals. Indeed, I could write volumes on my adventures in Filipino medicine (it involved chickens), Singaporean (it did not involve chickens) or Canadian (all things considered, I would have preferred chickens).

At this time, however, I would like to offer my thoughts on medicine in a place I have truly never understood: Suburbia, USA. Located in just about every state – even North Dakota – I recently found myself seeking out medical care in Colorado.
