Longshoremen are booted from meeting

Group is organizing to oppose log truck traffic

NEWPORT – A half-dozen union longshoremen were ejected Saturday from an organizational meeting of Save Our City, a group formed last month to fight a plan to route log trucks alongside the Walker Heights neighborhood that are bound for a newly-rebuilt deepwater port.
