Irene Black

Irene Black, 85, of Newport, Ore., died Jan. 4, 2013.

She was born May 4, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pa.

She married Robert Black, who preceded her in death in 2002.

There will a be a Remembering Service at 3 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, in the Pacific Sanctuary at Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital, 930 SW Abbey St. in Newport, where Irene was an active hospice volunteer for many years.

Bateman Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
