Crews fill bottomless holes on Hwy 101 at Moolack Beach

NEWPORT — Road crews on U.S. Highway 101 a couple of miles north of Newport made emergency repairs to a sunken grade last week that slowed traffic to a one-way crawl for several hours, a condition that motorists are likely to encounter frequently along a slide-prone, three-mile stretch of highway.
