For the first time in her artistic career, Katia Kyte will present a one-woman show at the Chessman Gallery in the Lincoln City Cultural Center. An opening reception is set from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11. LCCC will celebrate this show with a gourmet chocolate and wine bar. The show will remain up through Feb. 6.

Kyte’s work features oil paintings done completely from life. Some of these paintings are plein air landscapes from local locations and some are still lifes. Most of this work was done in one sitting in an attempt to capture the feeling of the moment with bold, loose brush strokes.
