Elk mount seized

An ongoing investigation by the Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division led to the arrest of Joshuah Burnham, 29, of Toledo, on multiple charges. According to a news release issued by OSP, the arrest occurred on Dec. 21 when fish and wildlife troopers served a search warrant at a Toledo-area residence. Burnham was arrested and lodged in the Lincoln County Jail on charges of Criminal Trespass II (three counts), hunting on the enclosed lands of another (three counts) and unlawful possession of a Roosevelt Bull Elk. Evidence seized in connection with the investigation included a mounted 7x7 Roosevelt elk. Senior Trooper Ryan Kehr is the lead investigator on this case.
