On Wednesday, Dec. 12, 133 cadets from the Oregon National Guard Youth ChalleNGe Program (OYCP), a statewide alternative high school, graduated from the rigorous five and one-half month residential phase of the program.
Kodi Ziegler of Newport, and Andrew Cuevas-Nash of Toledo, were among the cadets to graduate from the program, which earned them enough credits to return to high school and graduate with their classes. Ziegler received Outstanding Physical Training Honors and Cuevas-Nash was named Most Improved Cadet of the Class.For the complete article see the 12-21-2012 issue.
