Raw wastewater advisory posted at Schooner Creek in Newport

Loss of power causes pump station failure

On Sunday, the Schooner Lift Station located on the west end of NW 68th Street in Newport shut down due to an electrical failure. A few days earlier, one of the pumps in the lift station was taken out of service due to a mechanical failure.
