Live music in Newport

The Embarcadero’s Bridges Restaurant and Lounge will host an evening of acoustic music from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. today (Friday). Rob Connell will perform on six- and 12-string guitars and vocals, along with longtime collaborator Lisha Rose on lead and backing vocals, and Rob’s regular musical partner, Evans Longshore, on upright bass, guitar, and vocals. The group will play a variety of original and classic tunes, emphasizing strong vocals and instrumentals, and a focus on danceable classic rock and roll.
