Oregon Coast Community College is developing a pool of qualified, experienced instructors to teach lower division college credit courses and college preparatory writing and math.
A faculty pool will enable the college to better respond to situations when a scheduled instructor suddenly becomes unavailable or when there are enough students to justify opening another class.
“Course cancellations could impede a student’s progress at the college, and we need to minimize this occurrence as much as possible,” said Bruce Koike, interim president.
