Schools plan winter performances

With winter break coming up, several schools in the area are holding winter performances throughout the month. Information for Lincoln County Schools is listed below.

Newport schools:

Sam Case Primary winter program: Dec. 10, 6:30 p.m., Newport High School gymnasium

Newport High School band and choir concert, Dec. 13, 7 p.m., Newport Performing Arts Center

Newport Intermediate School/Isaac Newton Magnet School, winter concert Dec. 18, 6:30 p.m. NIS gymnasium

Toledo schools:

Toledo Elementary winter festival, Dec. 21, 1 p.m. Toledo Elementary gymnasium.

Toledo Junior/Senior High School will hold a band concert at the end of the semester in January.

Waldport schools:

Music program director Brad Capshaw said that the Waldport schools’ music programs are currently in a “restarting” mode and will not have a winter program this year. Capshaw plans to have a winter program next year.

Lincoln City schools:

Oceanlake Elementary: No program scheduled.

Taft Elementary: Taft Elementary will have a school-wide program in the spring.

Taft High 7-12: The school held their holiday program before Thanksgiving.

Eddyville Charter School:

Eddyville winter program, Dec. 20, 7 p.m., Eddyville Charter School gymnasium.

Siletz schools:

Siletz Valley Charter School winter program tentatively scheduled for Dec. 18, 6:30 p.m., SVS gymnasium.
