Annual meeting set for Oregon Coast Aquatic Park

The annual public meeting for the Oregon Coast Aquatic Park will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at the H&R Block office, 1460 N. Coast Highway in Newport.

Progress continues on the Oregon Coast Aquatic Park with conceptual building plans completed. The idea for this facility is to provide activities for both residents and visitors. Organizers say the park would merge nicely with the existing attractions in South Beach.

The board of directors is currently finalizing land acquisition, updating the feasibility study and reviewing funding sources.
